Remnant 2 π APOCALYPSE DIFFICULTY! Walkthrough Gameplay (Part 5) FINALE!!! - ROOT EARTH!
YES! Got that sweet sweet loot! I did not get a Steam achievement for clearing the campaign on Apocalypse, if there even is one.
Will be sticking to the critical path for this playthrough.
This was POST-Patch - PC: 08.04.23!
The build/setup was shown after every major fight.
My Thoughts:
Okay, I have a lot to say lol. First off, parts 1-4 were recorded pre-patch and this video (part 5) was recorded after the 1st patch went live (I just saw an update but didn't bother reading patch notes until after I beat the game on Apocalypse difficulty). The decrease in Nightfall's rate of fire was clear as day. Through gameplay alone, the Enigma did not feel weaker to me even though it was nerfed?
There was definitely something changed with armor/damage reduction! I know there was a bug/glitch/cheese allowing players to go above and beyond the 80% DR cap using the Engineer Archetype but I was not aware of this until after I finished the game on Apocalypse. The main reason I used Engineer for most of my Apocalypse run is because of how absurd the Railgun's damage is.
I hit my first wall on the Cancer boss. Even with full Leto Mark II armor equipped, the branch attacks would one-shot me. So, I looked up videos of the Cancer boss at Apocalypse difficulty and people were surviving even after getting hit by the branch attacks. I had two choices, either do a no-hit run or level up my character's HP. I chose to invest all my trait points at this point.
I had initially planned on using one cheese/glitch before finishing the game but sadly most had been patched out. The only glitch/cheese I found was for the Venom boss fight. It worked out decently but it's also very inconsistent. Pretty much hug the fog door's left corner and the boss avoids you. Use the firestorm mod when the boss goes in the air to pull it away from you to avoid the stomp damage.
As for the final boss, I finally decided to level up my weapons instead of relying solely on the Railgun for damage. Even after out-leveling the world, the final boss's 1st phase would inconsistently 1-shot me with its stomp attack (both the normal stomp and the wave stomp). About 80% of the time I would get one shot at full HP and 20% of the time it would leave me alive with a tiny bit of HP. Not sure why it was so inconsistent. The 2nd phase version of the boss (corrupted dimension) did not do as much damage, allowing me to survive 2-4 hits.
After completion, I went to Youtube & Reddit, and there were two main opinions/views. Some people think Damage Rediton (DR) is bugged while others are saying get good, it's Apocalypse. LOL, GGS!
