In this video I do a little repair and show you how to replace the battery in a Game Boy cartridge, using my copy of Final Fantasy Adventure.

Some Game Boy games have a save feature such as Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening; Metroid II: Return of Samus; and many others. The save feature uses a battery backup. These batteries were really only meant to last about 10-12 years at most, and some of these games are closer to 20 years now. While some still work, others haven't fared so well.
