Replacing the outer grips on an Xbox Elite Controller
27In this video Alvin talks about how he replaced the outer grips on the bottom of the Xbox Elite Controller (Model 1698, 1st gen Elite controller). After a while some people find that the rubber grips on the controller start to peal at the edges, expand, then fall off. If this is caught at the beginning then it can be glued, but in most cases it expands and stretches so you can no longer glue it. The video shows me gluing one part of the grip on the body of the controller and replacing the edges with spares.
