So, I recently got a Golden Tee Fore! arcade cabinet, completely free, from Gumtree and I figured you might like to see how I do when it comes to reassembling it and converting it to be a multi-game cabinet.

Having got the Cabal board working I was wondering how best to get multiple games running in the cab without having to build up a collection of buky and expensive jamma boards. A friend suggested this Pandora's Box as being a fairly cheap/no risk option (Amazon prime = easy to return, supposedly) that I could try and just send back if it was no good so I thought, what the heck, I doubt it's what I'm really after but if it does the job for now then it'll do for a bit to let me concentrate on other bits and pieces that need doing.

I won't link to the page on amazon as the product on that page has now changed to different CX model box but it was described as:

ARCADORA Pandora Box EX 2 Arcade Jamma Board, 4300 in 1 (70 3D Games) DIY Retro Game Cabinet, VGA HDMI Output, Save Games, Accurate Search games, Custom button

And is it any good? Am I keeping it or sending it back. Obviously, people would normally say watch the video to find out but instead I'll just tell you straight - no, it's absolute garbage, don't waste your money. But you might want to watch the video so see WHY it's so rubbish.

Am now going to be looking into the raspberry pi to jamma route so if anyone has any hints and tips on that, do please let me know :)

MASSIVE thanks for Ricardo Autobahn for the use of

Some people have said I should set up a tip jar, to help with cost of repairs and the like. As I can't really offer anything other than thanks I don't feel Patreon is particularly suitable, so I've set up this - https://ko-fi.com/gigerpunk
Absolutely no obligation, I'm not doing any content just for people who pay and not doing adverts of any kind, it's just there for those who'd like to help out occasionally.
