I take a break from story campaigns to try one of the survivors modes. Its pretty damn tough. I think they meant for this to be a sort of mercenaries mode to be replayed multiple times. But its no where near as fun or as in depth as mercs. It seems theres likely only one or two ways to play an optimized run. I suspect that players end up playing the story modes more and ignore this. When I finally beat it, it wasn't like overcoming the odds or figuring out the tricks... it was like I just got lucky.
