Part 1 of my Resident Evil 2: Remake longplay.

Hey-ho, everybody! Welcome to the middle of October!

I was going through my video folder to do a bit of house cleaning, opening up disk space and all, when I stumbled upon a playthrough I did of Resident Evil 2's remake. From the looks of it, I did this playthrough back in in late January of 2019, right when this game first released! These videos have been sitting on my hard drive for almost two years!

I don't normally do incredibly gory games on this channel. But given how I've the internet speed to upload quickly and it is the month of Halloween, why not? Add a little more variety to the channel and pay some homage to a classic game series.

While I did say I don't normally do gory games, that's because I don't normally play them, either. Look through most my catalog here on my channel and you'll see I tend to lean towards more the family friendly, colorful kind of games with the Metroid games being about as dark as I'd go. But just because I don't normally play horror games or the like, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a spooky adventure now and then.

At the time of this game's release, I was kind of in a spooky mood. I wanted to play something with zombies. Then low and behold, Resident Evil 2 came out and it just looked so good. I HAD to play it!

This is also the first time I've actually played a Resident Evil game, demo of Resident Evil Revelations for the 3DS not withstanding. The closest I've been to playing this franchise is I did play ZombiU on the Wii U, getting through that game without any deaths.

I guess when I'm thrown into a horror environment, I am exceptionally cautious. I conserve supplies wherever I can and squirrel them away. The whole habit of "I'm saving this item for later because I might need it MORE later" comes in handy. Probably also helps I played on the easiest game mode there is, but don't you shame me. I've played it a couple more times on harder difficulties and I've done just fine.

Still, have fun with this series! I was originally planning to do Luigi's Mansion 3 for this year, but this series sat in my hard drive for long enough. I gave it a bit of spit n' polish, added my format to it, and here we go.
