Welcome to my Resident Evil 3 Remake let's play. My name is digidv85 but please call me dig for short. This is a blind let's play. It will feature the campaign on hardcore difficulty to completion. Gameplay shown on PS4.

About Game: Resident Evil 3[b] is a 2020 survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. Released for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, it is a remake of the 1999 game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Players control former elite agent Jill Valentine and mercenary Carlos Oliveira as they attempt to find a vaccine and escape from a city during a viral outbreak. The game is played from an third-person perspective and requires the player to solve puzzles and defeat monsters while being pursued by a creature called Nemesis. Cutscenes with occasional quick time events are featured at regular intervals to advance the story.

Most of Resident Evil 3 was developed concurrently with the 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2 and both games run on Capcom's RE Engine. Although it features the same premise as the original, many parts were rearranged in favor of a more focused story. To honor the more action-oriented approach of the original, developers revamped the movement speed and animations from the Resident Evil 2 remake and added the ability to dodge attacks. Because some features from the original game were excluded, a separate online multiplayer game, Resident Evil: Resistance, was bundled with Resident Evil 3.

Resident Evil 3 received generally favorable reviews from critics, who praised its compelling narrative, tense atmosphere, and graphics. Criticism was targeted at its short length and missing features from the original. The greater emphasis on action and scripted sequences also disappointed some critics. The game had sold 4.6 million copies by November 2021. A version with visual enhancements will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S in 2022, while the Windows version will be enhanced with a patch.

Gameplay: Resident Evil 3 is a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, a survival horror video game released for PlayStation in 1999. Unlike the original, which uses tank controls and fixed camera angles, the remake features third-person shooter gameplay similar to the 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake. The beginning of Resident Evil 3 however, has players briefly controlling Jill in a first person perspective, in a dream and then in her apartment, engaging with the environment around her much like the characters you assume the role of in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

Development: Resident Evil 3 was under development for approximately three years prior to its announcement in 2019. Development was handled by Capcom and its subsidiary K2 Inc, with assistance from Redworks and M-Two, the latter being founded by former PlatinumGames CEO Tatsuya Minami. The game was created using the RE Engine that was used in Resident Evil 7, Devil May Cry 5 and the Resident Evil 2 remake. The multiplayer mode, Resident Evil: Resistance, was developed externally by NeoBards Entertainment and was previously announced as a separate game, Project Resistance.

Producers Masachika Kawata and Peter Fabiano said the team tried to honor the more action-oriented approach of the original game. They altered character designs accordingly, with Jill wearing more practical apparel and Carlos Oliveira being "more rough around the edges". Nemesis, one of the central aspects of the game, was redesigned and given new ways to track down players compared to the Tyrant from Resident Evil 2. In terms of its visual design, Fabiano mentioned that art director Yonghee Cho wanted to make Nemesis feel like he could fit in the reimagined and photorealistic Raccoon City and should feel like a prototype model, while adding that the development team wanted to give players the feeling that they were constantly being pursued by a relentless and agile bioweapon by striking a balance between having players feel anxious and also giving them periods of respite.

Release: Resident Evil 3 was announced during an online PlayStation presentation in December 2019 and is scheduled for release on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 3, 2020. A collector's edition will be available for the console versions and features a Jill Valentine figure, hardcover art book, Raccoon City map poster, and two-disc soundtrack. A demo of the game was released on March 19, 2020, with a Resident Evil: Resistance beta released on March 27.

Reception: Resident Evil 3 received "generally favorable" reviews, according to review aggregator website Metacritic. It was praised for its graphics, sound, gameplay, and fast-paced horror. The PlayStation 4 version sold 189,490 copies in its first week on sale in Japan, making it the second-bestselling retail game of the week there. It shipped over two million copies within its first five days of release, around half of which were digital sales.
