It's finally over. About half an hour in, all my rechargeable batteries died and I had to find a pair of working batteries. This is the raw footage, no processing, so I guess something at the recording stage broke itself for the footage to have all this blockiness to it. I had thoughts and plans to maybe roll through the rest of the series, but this game just drained all desire out. The story being disjointed and nonsensical, and not in the cool kind of camp you saw in 4 with Leon spouting cheesy one liners or 5 with Chris punching a boulder, doesn't help. What kills it the most is the gameplay. Even with basic TPS elements and not being forced to stand still to aim or knife, random controls being remapped, not being able to pause the game at any point even when your controller is disconnected, even just too many things where your character gets staggered and you have no option to recover before just being killed instantly. Even simple things like trying to kick a box you're running into, yet slapping the air to the front of the camera because all your moves are tied to the crosshair. It's stupid. This game being made at the very end of the 7th generation explains the poor visual quality of most things. Halo 4 on the 360 had similar things where half the game regressed to 2002 to make the slightly higher fidelity character models work. I'm guessing the "enhanced" version they released later for 8th gen, which really should be the version sold on the microsoft store right now, maybe touched up character models and ended with that.
