It's not a bad game, but there's a lot in the game trying to ruin the rest of it. You look at the game and with the sound off, or specifically the music, it really is creepy and well presented...at least in the actual gameplay. That intro and cutscenes, not so much.
The GB and NES sound are alike in that less is more. I know that the GB was more high pitched and was lacking in eerie hums and bass lines, but that still doesn't take away from the fact that the game tried to pump you up during genuinely creepy times. That battle music does NOT belong with the image in front of you. I get it...it's a Game Boy Color game and this might be what they were going for, but if they were trying to remove the tension then, really, what's the point.
