Residents come together to create pop-up grocery store
10The Neighborhood Center in Camden, NJ transformed its basketball court into its Community Flash Grocery Store this week. The rec center received donations from organizations and churches from across the state all month long.
It was open to about 600 pre-registered families who are in need of a good Thanksgiving meal. About three and a half tons of turkeys were given out. The Neighborhood Center's mission is not just to feed those who need access to good food, but to feed them nutritiously and with high-quality healthy meals.
