Hello everyone! Another demo from this Steam Next Fest. This is Flame Keeper and it is a pseudo-roguelite, working pretty similar to games like Cult of the Lamb or Children of Morta. There are different biomes, each one acting as a separate roguelite stage, where your main objective is to restore the fire, collecting lamps and lighting them on using your hp.

The idea of the game is pretty cool, and it looks great, with some nice background music. Gameplay feels decent, although I don't like that they force me to dash to the direction where I am attacking, nor the fact the I can't move while attacking (besides the dash). Enemies are not hard to deal with, which kinda makes sense because you are losing hp to unlock stuff and light the fire, so they don't want to punish you with hardcore action too.

I like how they change from top-down action roguelite to tower defense (even when the last part was a bit boring). So I wonder if they are adding more genres into the main game.
