Air Zoo restoration volunteer, Denny, describes the restoration process and provides an overview of this Douglas Dauntless Dive-Bomber Bureau Number SBD-2P 2173. Recovered from the bottom of Lake Michigan in 2009, this aircraft is deemed a national treasure and has plans to be returned to the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii for their National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day activities.
