This is a rethinking of an old Kaypro CP/M classic text arcade game called Aliens (AKA Space Invaders in ASCII) in a crazy way. Now it is running on PC8020/8010 CP/M Korvet Soviet educational computer. It is not the port, not the emulator trick. The 1983 executable COM file from Kaypro was used without any modifications. But an environment behind regular COM file is quite different. Text recoloring with classic Midway background was made by exploiting unusual Korvet graphics architecture. This computer was capable of displaying three graphical layers (not necessarily RGB) and one layer of big text simultaneously. 16 possible layer combinations then mapped to any of 16 colors. This trick was possible on real hardware back in the 1987. It should work with other CP/M text games too.
This mod would be impossible without hard work of ESL (RIP).
