Retro Hunting Adventures - Famicom Games! (Twin Bee, Rockman 6 & More)
9Welcome back to Retro Hunting Adventures! New episodes air every Monday at 8 PM ET, 7 Central. This week I'll be testing out some recent Famicom games that I picked up. For those who don't know the Family Computer (hence Famicom) was what would later be rebranded and sold around the world as the Nintendo Entertainment System (hence NES). The cartridges are a different shape and size than their counterparts outside Japan, but a simple cart converter will let them function in a NTSC U.S. NES as there is functionally no difference EXCEPT for their shape and size. (This may not hold true in PAL regions due to differences in television standards.) Today's batch includes classic SHMUP game Twin Bee, Rockman 6 (Mega Man 6), a puzzle game called Onyanko Town and a bizarre side scrolling shooter named Dough Boy!
