Metroid Prime is a first-person shooter-cum-action adventure game, developed by Retro Studios for the Nintendo GameCube in 2002 (2003 in Japan).

As the bounty hunter Samus Aran, you make your way to the planet of Tallon IV to hunt down Meta Ridley and discover what exactly the Space Pirates have been doing, and it involves something that could prove to be of universal significance.

Selling two million copies internationally, Metroid Prime proved to be a tremendous success for the franchise, bringing it from 2D to 3D in truly elegant fashion, and it added to an already stacked lineup for the GameCube's formative years.

So, was Intelligent Qube actually any fun to play? Will I start seeing cubes tumbling towards me in my sleep? And - perhaps most crucially - is it worth importing?

So, was Metroid Prime a properly good game? Can Metroid actually crawl? And - the reason why we're here - is it worth importing?
