This is a Gericom Hummer Extreme, I picked it up for a mere 11 euros on an auction site in Hungary, originally released in June 2004, these sold for 1,500 euros:

Unfortunately they seem to have some bug either in the bios or elsewhere that makes SATA to IDE adapters run at UDMA2 / ATA-33 speed, after trying multiple things to fix it, I decided to just buy one of those somewhat pricey IDE SSDs from aliexpress. Technically this laptop should actually work with SATA and it might be possible to SATA mod it, but that's for another time.
