Análisis: Art of Fighting 3
A mediados de la década de los 90, King of Fighters ya era el juego de lucha más popular de SNK, dejando en segundo plano a sus anteriores éxitos como Fatal Fury y Art of Fighting.
El caso de Fatal Fury no fue muy drástico, ya que seguía atrayendo al público y continuó recibiendo nuevas entregas como Fatal Fury 3 y los Real Bout Fatal Fury, que supusieron una renovación de la saga, llevándola a un nivel muy superior a lo visto en su primera etapa.
Con Art of Fighting todo parecía ir por el mismo camino, tras el juego original en 1992 y su secuela Art of Fighting 2 en 1994, tocaba una renovación, que llegó en 1996 tras el nombre The Path of the Warrior – Art of Fighting 3, que cambió muchísimo con respecto a los anteriores, incluyendo nuevos gráficos, mecánicas, jugabilidad y ofreciendo una plantilla de luchadores totalmente nueva, donde solo Ryo y Robert son viejos conocidos (algo similar a lo visto en Street Fighter III o Garou Mark of the Wolves). Lejos de iniciar una nueva etapa para Art of Fighting, este tercer episodio supuso el punto y final de la saga.
