This time an unboxing of the Retrode2 and a short review of how to use the device and what its features are. This device is amazing very easy to use and configurable to your emulation needs.This Retrode2 allows for drag and drop not shown but possible I used copy and paste.
The games I selected was Castlevania on Nintendo Gameboy (Castlevania: The Adventure) Sega Genesis, (Castlevania: Bloodlines) & Super Nintendo (Super Castlevania IV).
Although through emulation each cartridge was demonstrated and played from both the cartridge itself and the PC hard drive. The emulators used: are:VisualBoy Advance 1.4, Fusion 3.64, & ZSNES 1.42.
Each game cartridge worked flawlessly. Note be sure to change voltages from 5v to 3.3v for the Gameboy Advance and N64 carts. Otherwise everything is outstanding.
To avoid confusion and many more steps I did not attempt to use this devices controller ports. My emulators did not want to cooperate. They work but its just a bit of a troubleshooting issue thats not the device its the wireless not wanting to sync properly my apologies. If we make a follow-up review we will do a teardown and use the controller ports.
Pros: SNES PAL carts work too.
Cons: None.
