The "Kirby in Sonic the Hedgehog 2" mod is a creative reimagining of the classic "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" game, crafted by Lone Devil. This version stars the beloved Kirby alongside Waddle Dee, who step into the roles originally held by Sonic and Tails, embarking on an adventure to thwart Dr. Robotnik. Kirby has the unique trait of being able to suck in monitors and most enemies, although he cannot adopt their special abilities. Waddle Dee, in contrast, is without distinctive abilities. The game departs from the conventional life system, using a health point counter instead, which can be replenished by collecting 50 rings, activating lamp posts, hitting randomized 1-up monitors, or achieving a score increment of 50,000 points. Players can also test their skills with four different difficulty settings. Furthermore, the Hidden Palace has been reintegrated as an exclusive single-act zone available to Kirby, secretly situated within the depths of Mystic Cave Act 2.
