After picking up this malignant item in the Abyssal Scar biome, I decided to Suspend Cycle and backup my save to the PS Cloud. When I restarted the game each time, the malignant item respawns! So this gave me a chance to pick it up or if I get infected, just quit and reload the backup save from the Cloud. If you got the item without being damaged or infected, suspend the cycle, upload the save, restart the game and try again.

This area is a small rectangular shape cove with a light post on the left and a fern shrub on the right. It has a chance to appear once or twice in the Abyssal Scar level.

These items will randomly spawn: Spoiled Resin, Malignant Resin, Malignant Silphium and Malignant Key. If you have full health, the Silphium will not spawn.

If you get damaged by the spoiled resin or infected by the malignant resulting in a malfunction, just quit and reload your backup save from the cloud. If you have a malfunction fix that says "Collect 2 Resins", you can keep that since you can pick up more resins from this method.

Note that I also had the Resinous Shield Artifact and a shield active, so if I get hurt by picking up a spoiled resin, I'll just get my shield back. This method is time consuming, monotonous and very prone to RNG so you will have to repeat many times. I messed around for an hour plus and managed to get over 250% integrity and 8 keys! I know it's not that worth it since you'll need to restart after the biome boss anyway, but at least this makes the game going forward easier.

Not sure if this is intended. May be patched in future updates. This is version 3.000.004 when I did it.
