Thanks for dropping by! I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time and was invited to come along to Microsoft Xbox's pre-launch party for Quantum Break in Auckland a few weeks ago.

I had a chance to talk to Quantum Break developer, Thomas Puha, and also meet a number of the local Youtubers and Twitch streamers. Really great night and huge thanks to Jason for hosting us all. As part of the pre-launch activities we were able to play through the full first act of Quantum Break; of which I have to say is pretty awesome game and will be getting a full copy of it myself this week.

As such the game play you see here is the first two parts of Act 1. Being a PC player, I fumbled a little with the game early on as this build was being played on Xbox One. However, I quickly got into the game and started getting right into the story line. There are some great moments in the game and I love the cast, Aiden Gillen (a definite favourite from The Wire & Game of Thrones), Dominic Monaghan (Lost & Lord of the Rings) and the lead role from Shawn Ashmore (Iceman from the X-Men films).

The narrative is the real focus for the game which Thomas re-enforced in our discussion. I really hope this style of game (a crossover between live action and traditional video games) takes off as it will definitely be a strong draw card for me and others if the story line is as solid as what I have seen so far all the way through.

Another bonus is that Quantum Break is the first game that gives you access to both the console and PC version via a single purchase. Which has been a dream of mine for ages!
