RG101: Super Mario Bros. In Under 15 Minutes (Super Mario All Stars Version)
This wasn't intended to be a speed run, although it almost seems like one just because of how fast I bolted through some of the levels! If I was speed running there were a lot of ways that I could have saved time, maybe I'll have to try it someday since I actually have no idea just how fast I can actually do it.
But anyway, this was meant to be a throwback to the Random Game of the Day that started it all way back in December of 2011:

Unlike in that video, where I stopped after I beat the first world, this time I decided that it would be fun to make it all of the way to the end. When you know where all of the warp zones are and have memorized all of the level layouts it doesn't take very long to complete. This time I also decided to play the enhanced version of Super Mario Bros. on Super Mario All Stars for the Super Nintendo, just to change things up a little bit! Unfortunately as I show in the video, the SMAS version of Super Mario Bros. has a few annoying flaws that the original doesn't, although luckily they aren't too difficult to work around.
For a true speed run of the original game be sure to check out andrewg1990's video where he makes it to the end in less than 5 minutes!

I found it funny that I talked so fast and rambled on in this video just as I did in the first Random Game of the Day. It probably has something to do with the fact that I know the game way too well, so I hardly need to focus on playing at all. If you want a good laugh be sure to turn on YouTube's automatic captions, as those things never have any idea what I am saying! :P
