The RG353P comes in two colours based on the Japanese and European, and the North America colours. Let us know which theme is your favourite in the comments. The RG353P uses the RK3566 quad core processor we first saw in the RG503 handheld. It has 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM which is a little low but fine for retro gaming. There’s 32GB of internal fast eMMC storage for Android, and 16GB on the Micro SD Card for Linux. For communication there is 5Ghz WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2. This can be used for game data scraping, multiplayer games or going online with Android apps. And powering it all is a 3,500mAh li-polymer battery. The battery will last up to 6 hours depending on what emulator and games you are playing.
Dozens of great retro gaming consoles are supported including Final Burn, MAME, Vertical Arcade games, WonderSwan Colour, Capcom Play System 1, 2 and 3, MSX, PC Engine, Master System, Mega Drive, Game Gear, Dreamcast and PSP. You can connect your handheld to your TV or monitor via the HDMI output. You can also play with friends with compatible games for multiplayer fun.
The RG353P does not come with Google Play Store installed. You may be able to install it yourself by other means, we have not tried. But you can install Aurora Store which is a great replacement for Play Store. Visit https://f-droid.org/packages/com.aurora.store/ for more information.
