Ridge Racer - MiSTer PSX Core - 1st run with setup and core options
1st experience running the EXTREMELY WIP PSX core for the MiSTer from FPGAzumSpass or Robert Peip. I'm proudly an independent donor, but this project is not "officially endorsed" by RGS.
Very surreal seeing this all in motion, and with this performance (ironically too fast with some operations)! No sound is implemented at this time, but the recent development removing the need for a 2nd SDRAM card is such a big milestone for the core! Progress is progress.

Setup:
MiSTer - HDMI
8BitDo USB receiver, paired with a PS5 controller (because why not?)
Precompiled rbf (via Zip) is available for donors, or you can compile yourself from git: https://github.com/RobertPeip/PlayStation_MiSTer
Scph1001 BIOS dump is required, renamed to boot.rom in a ./playstation/ folder in the SD card root.
Track 1.bin needs to be loaded by the core ATM, I imagine .cue support is coming (I did not try it!).
The core is a bit finicky, make sure the BIOS boots to the Sony logo, THEN enable fastboot and load your image.
Enjoy!
