Risk Of Rain 2 - Commando Eclipse 8 Clear!
0So at long last i have conquered eclipse 8, and it honestly took 3 attempts from E7, so why is that the case despite the much harder modifier? well my friend that's because ever since eclipse 2 where i struggled so insanely hard due to my strategy being wrong (the 5 minute rush method is a nono) and my know when to fight vs run management was shit, i've been working hard to improve ever since, and slowly bit by bit each eclipse level has made me into a pretty solid ROR2 player i'd say.
Some ground rules about lunar items since i have a few gripes, i try to avoid anything more than 1 lunar item a run, my house rule is 3 rerolls and 1 item or 2 rerolls and 2 items, because all these rolls add to under 10 coins and if i had farmed i'd be limiting myself to that, only reason i edited it in notepad was just to have some fun on non eclipse runs, so any future ones rest assure it'd be 3 rerolls and 1 item at max, ever.
What a run this was, and what an exciting time to get to try out a fun build, ATG carried this run so insanely hard and the ICBM was just the icing on the cake, the lunar cauldron with 57 leaf clover was just absolutely nuts too, also opal saved me so much despite being a very mediocre item, i had hoped for a pillars skip but alas could not get one and wasn't sure if egg without fuel cell was enough hence why i rerolled it on stage 5, overall i could've played better at times, but i honestly am very very pleased with this as a run.
