Riven (2024): Gameplay, Part 4, End
2This is the fourth and final part of my gameplay of Riven, the 2024 remake of the original landmark 1997 adventure game of the same name by Cyan Studios, which also made the remake and released it on June-25-2024.
The remake had been in development since 2009, first by fans of the original game, then later by Cyan. Graphics have been updated to modern standards, but FMVs (full-motion videos with live actors) have been replaced with computer graphics. Some new puzzles and areas have been added as well, notably a "starry expanse" hub for accessing different islands. The remake largely retains the "feel" of the original game.
This is not a walkthrough video, but a mostly unedited recording of my first-time play, including moments of me getting stuck in puzzles and having to revisit areas -- although I tried to cut out the most tedious parts.
In this video, I decide the fate of Gehn, Atrius, Catherine, and myself, resulting in 5 different endings that are shown here.
