RNMSC - Fresh Starts - Radio Active
Have you been trying to get started in No Man's Sky, only to be thwarted by not even being able to get to your starship? There are currently 3 environments that I've see No Man's Sky spawn character generation. Last week we did a 6 hour series on the process of getting from generating your character, through kicking off a frigate mission once you've got a freighter. This week we're going to focus on that first bit of surviving long enough to get to your starship, and get it off the ground. (You'll even get to see me fail at that when playing in Permadeath mode on Thursday, stick around for the fun!.)
Today we focus on being spawned on a Hot planet. You'll find that much of this will be familiar, and noticed in other spawns. That's partially the idea. This is not InFlight Missile Repair (IFMR). If you have any doubt about that, look at the 'spawn' portion of each of these videos, and you'll fairly quickly recognize that you're looking at what is essentially an overlay on the world that you're being spawned on. You will run into common challenges. I'll show you what materials you will need, and let you know what materials you may want later on, but don't need to get 'now.'
Have Fun! Feel free to laugh at my mistakes, or perhaps learn from them.
[admin note: I'm aware that my voiceover will drift from the video. I did record them at roughly the same time, but as I was 'aligning' the videos at the start by when I stated that you need to press the X or square box, I note that my audio os not aligned at the end of the video. I've learned a bit more about the system this week, so perhaps next week we'll have audio of my voice over as I'm playing. That will entail separate pre and post roll audio, which is OK, I did a separate Post-roll audio this week, which I expect to continue to use until I've got something better prepared.]
If you like, I'd appreciate it if you liked the video, and subscribed. If you want to see upcoming episodes as they are published, that's what the bell or notification icon is for. Turn it on and you'll see notices from YouTube when I post, and possibly when I start a live stream.
In any case, I hope you have fun.
