Robin in his Nest - using a Comb, Wedge & Brush - Abstract Fluid Art
Hey Everyone! Thank you for being here today. Today I wanted to try something different and just have some fun. You’ll see the process I go through but I really see a Robin in his nest, what do you think?
Technique used: Freestyle / using a comb, a catalyst wedge and a brush.
What I learnt: sometimes it’s just about letting go and seeing what you can create, and for me, this little Robin appeared in his nest.
Colour palette: I was using up my paints so various brands and the colors you can see in the video.
Time Stamps: If you want to go to a specific section of the video, here are the main segments:
00:15 canvas size and concept
00:49 layering the base coat
01:27 layering the paints to create
01:58 using the comb
02:24 using the wedge
02:54 layering the paints to create
03:15 using the comb and wedge again - looking at the perspective
03:57 creating depth and texture with the wedge and comb
05:40 wow loving the process
06:00 wet version look
06:30 dry version
Hair/Blow Dryer: I currently use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting unless I specify otherwise.
I have a video that shows you how I mix my paints for various techniques: https://youtu.be/83e21oLJPww
