Little Richard recorded his huge hit song Tutti Frutti right here in New Orleans in the recording studio of Cosimo Matassa. Artists such as Fats Domino, Dave Bartholomew, Professor Longhair, and Roy Brown along with Matassa pioneered the New Orleans sound and is considered the birthplace of Rock and Roll music.
