It's Day 4. We're about to take an elevator up to see what the heck is going on. We came across Cassia and found our Navigator! Whew. One crisis diverted.
After talking to Vox Master Vigdis, the next most important thing to do was to find Heinrix von Calox. She said we needed an Enginseer Prime, some crew, and "... much more importantly, we have not yet located Heinrix van Calox, ...". So, I set our next course for Rykadi Philia, the Prison Planetoid.
In retrospect, I guess I could've also opted for Rykad Minoris, but the quest log listed Rykadi Philia first (top most) so that's what I went with.
Dark Echelons quest failed. I didn't consider it a fail, but the quest is marked as a fail. I chose not to deal with uprising personally because:
1) I felt there were more pressing matters to handle
2) if I took over the investigation in any way, I felt it would imply I doubted Abelard's ability to handle the situation (and I wanted to show I trust Abelard) and
3) letting the Lieutenant demand an audience broke protocol and by the God Emperor we will maintain a semblance of order on my ship. (My girl's becoming quite tyrannical isn't she? That's what happens when one suddenly becomes a Rogue Trader and all of a sudden has a billion responsibilities).
We'll see if how I handled the potential mutiny will have repercussions later down the road...
Playthrough Details:
I'm diving into the Warhammer 40k universe with Rogue Trader. I don't know any of the lore, but I'm interested in learning about it. I've played the other Owlcat games (Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous) and loved them so this game has some expectations to overcome. I tend to shy away from space settings, but this game caught my attention. Let's see how it goes.
Also, I don't usually save scum decisions because I want to feel like my choices have consequences (good or bad). BUT I'm not opposed to reloading if I feel I've missed out on notable loot 😈
