RPG Maker Let's Play - Numina - Game Critique
27In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we take a look at the gorgeous world of Numina by Dust, a beautiful adventure with some of the best visuals we've seen in an RPG Maker game.
From an aesthetic standpoint, this game has it all: lovely, efficient mapping, amazing visual effects, particles, and a powerful soundtrack. The presentation of the story is top-notch, and the action is very well done. We were pulled into the game immediately, especially once out of the prologue and in the main game.
This game has some minor issues with dialogue attribution; it's hard to see who is talking, and therefore things get confusing very quickly.
The biggest issue is the lack of balancing. You have to be perfect in you timing to survive the opening battles of the first area. The game needs to be rebalanced.
The main characters (Shawn, Aura, and Raphael) are very sympathetic and we liked them instantly.
