RTS + Deckbuilder Roguelike | Warlords Under Siege
2Warlords Under Siege is a fast pace RTS Deckbuilder Roguelike. It is best when you start to go for gold and open card packs to farm more gold. I tried defending the base and lost a lot. It can feel like a lot of grinding, but I think this game is an entertaining game that is only $5 and still in early access. I expect this game will get better with time, but it is an enjoyable mix of an RTS base builder, Roguelike.
Feedback:
The UI on a 4k monitor is a little small. The game should take the base UI scaling for the system. This would fix that problem or add a UI scaling option in game. Also, there is a readability problem with the text in the game. Strokes on text do not always scale correctly, so maybe adding a layer behind and removing the stroke, or if you can make it for the stroke transforms with the text, that works the best. I took typography, so it is more of a nitpick for me, and probably if I changed it for the game is use the system UI, then this problem would not be there.
Warlords Under Siege is a mix of RTS and Roguelike genre, where you build a small city and defend it against continuous waves of enemies. Improve your assortment of weapons with each playthrough, unlocking new possibilities to beat the ever-increasing threat.
