RTX 4090 + i9-13900KF Benchmark Test - Ashes of the Singularity Escalation (DX12 HD-4K Ultra)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF
Memory: 32 GB DDR5 RAM (31.84 GB RAM usable)
Current resolution: 3440 x 1440, 60Hz
Second test for Ashes, this time on the new system. Will compare more in-depth metrics across multiple cards/CPUs in the not-too-distant future. I ran this w/ DX12 for the 3090 box, but will also run it for DX11 in the near future to compare between the two cards. In other titles like Warhammer, DX12 renders have significantly lower (20 - 30%+) decreases in FPS during test runtime. Will test this out in DX11 and compare in the deeper dive on performance.
Surprisingly similar performance between the two cards on Ashes DX12. Unsure why, the other box also was in a CPU 2 generations below my current box with significantly less physical cores. Current box has DDR5 RAM vs DDR4 on previous box.
Update: I just recalled that I ramped up one of the anti-aliasing / post processing options on this run vis-à-vis the previous one. So that may account for the lack of improvement (as it was eaten up by that ramped up option. I'll have to do these tests again more strictly and report it in future synthesis instead of doing these one-offs).
