Welcome to Runescape Classic, and welcome to the hardest skill to train - Magic.

Magic had no runecrafting, so all runes are from drops alone, or stores/players. That's it. On top of that, you could fail to cast spells and need to wait to train. As a result, even prayer is easier to train in classic because at least you can't mess up burying bones.
