Running Windows 8 Consumer Preview (Build 8195) inside Windows XP (VMware Workstation)
Episode 74.
Today's episode is Windows 8 Consumer Preview (Build 8195) running on Windows XP using VMware Workstation.
I originally plan on doing Windows 8 Build 7777, but I instead did Windows 8 Consumer Preview (Build 8195) instead.
Windows 8 Build 8195 is a beta build for Windows 8, which removes the start button and adds a new start screen animation which was present on future Windows 8 builds, including RTM. It was compiled on February 1st, 2012. This build's copyright date now says "2012" instead of "2011", and redesigned the charms bar completely to look like RTM's (with the exception of the Windows logo). This build still uses the old Windows logo today.
