What is Rust in Minecraft (Rust MC)?
Overview
RustMc is a multiplayer pvp survival server for Minecraft inspired by the game Rust. The game involves players attemption to survive through the awful conditions where humanity has been reduced to caveman. The enviroment is not kind. Bears and Wolves will chase and kill you. Falling from a height can break your legs or kill you. Being exposed to radiation for an extended period will kill you. Starving will kill you. Other players can find you, kill you, and take your stuff. Or maybe you can make friends and help each other survive using the games building tools to create a safe haven?
Starter Guide
When you spawn in RustMc, you will begin at a random place on the map. Unfortunately, there are not tools to help you navigate, once you die, you will respawn in another random place. The exception to this is if you have crafted and placed a sleeping bag or bed. Then you can respawn at your sleeping bag or bed by selecting "At a Camp" at death. This makes getting use to the enviroment even more difficult.
Getting Started
When you spawn all you have is a rock which can be used to gather wood, gather ores, or hunt down animals. You'll want to get rid of the rock as soon as possible because it takes ages to gather resources. Next to the rock you'll find two bandages which heal up wounds when you are bleeding. The bandages does not regnerate health. Next to the bandage you'll find a torch which is helpfull during night time.
Getting Wood
Wood plays a imporant role in Rustmc. It is used primarily for building houses. To gather wood, you will need to locate either a tree or a wood pile. Once located, you can use a rock, hatchet, stone hatchet, or pickaxe to gather wood from it. Each tool will determines how much wood you recieve from each hit, and how many hits for each wool pile. Once a wood pile is exhausted from all of its resources, it will disappear.
Gather Metal Ore and Sulfur
Metal and Sulfur are found in rocks, and can be used for craftin weapons and other items. Once you have located a located a rock, you can use a rock, hatchet, stone hatchet, or pickaxe to gather resource from it. Depending on what tool your using, will determine how much resource you will recieve for each hit, and how many hits for each ore. Once a ore is exhausted from all of its resources, it will disapear.
Hunting
Hunting is important because it provides raw chicken breast, cloth, animal fat and blood. Raw chicken breast keeps you from starving. Cloth is later required to craft cloth armor or to create a sleeping bag so that yo can respawn in the same area when you die. Animal fat is need to make a furnace for smelting.
It is easiest to kill animals with weapons, but since most beginners don't have these, it is useful to know that you can also use a rock, hatchet, stone hatchet, or pickaxe to kill them. Your fist will not deal damage. Once they die they will then drop a crate with resources.
Smelting
Now that you have gathered resources for the furnace, you need to create one so we can smelt. To craft a furnace use the /craft option and find the furnace in the "manufacturing" section. Once a furnace is crafted and placed, you will need to drag your metal ores and sulfur ores into the inventory of the furnace, along with some wood for the smelting process to occur. The ores will be smelted minute by minute so check your furnace regulary.
Building a house
To make a house, you are going to need wood, and a lot of it. Once you have built up a nice stockpile of wood, use /craft to craft a foundation. There are several other house items which you can also craft, such as pillars and doors. Once you crafted a foundation, drag it to your hotbar and you should now have a red or green box which moves with your view.
