S3 Replays: Pre-buff Reef-LUX
3Pretty much all of these games are from over a year ago, back before Reef-LUX got any of it's buffs (or nerfs for that matter). Personally, I've always thought of Reef-LUX as 'what if Squiffer was a Stringer'. That might just be more of a first impression kind of thing, but nonetheless. There is more to it than that, especially given Reef-LUX's infamous paint output and ludicrous object damage multipliers. There's also the fact that Reef-LUX (and Tri-Stringer too) have borrowed H-3's 3-shot burst splat sound effect, which makes Reef's snipes and trick shots much more satisfying when they go right, though combo-ing with Reef-LUX can also be satisfying. The overall consistency of winning fights does leave something to be desired at times, but for me the satisfaction of getting splats outweighs that most of the time.
