• I had high hopes for this review. The game was fantastically beautiful to view in S3D, and we were the only people to ever show it on Youtube. This game, and this video, was going to start the stereoscopic 3D gaming revolution! This is the video millions of people would be shown by friends and family, and S3DGZ would become a huge force in the new order of 95%+ games supporting S3D viewing!
Well, none of that ever happened.
I played this game on my own time after picking it up in a Steam summer sale and I was floored by how beautiful the art was. I showed it to Recostar and he wanted me to do an Extra Round episode on it. I did that episode, but I desperately wanted to review it as well, so I could show more of the game. In one of my shortest turnaround times ever, I completed this review just over a week after the Max Payne 3 review.
After this review went live a few months later, I distinctly remember a commenter saying that he had not actually watched the video and he'd only listened. At the time I read this, which was some point between the Dead Space 2 and Guild Wars 2 reviews, I had been strongly considering stopping making reviews after GW2 was done. I won't say that this comment was what sent me over the edge and made me quit, but it certainly pushed me even further in that direction.
