Sacred Odyssey playes out like an action / adventure game with a slight blend of RPG. You don't actually have abilities in the game. The weapons and magical items you collect are what makes you stronger. This is quite different to other RPG style games out there at the moment on any platform. As you all know traditional RPGs have a habit of keeping you in the menu and stat pages where you're constantly changing stats and abilities and weapons and armor and everything else under the sun to find that perfect combination to make you that little bit stronger. In Sacred Odyssey it's the opposite you only have three pages to check out, your quest logs, your map screen and your very simple to understand inventory page. By making this very simple and straight forward you don't have to worry about constantly trying to figure out what ability point you should allocate what perk you should add here or there but instead focus on the GAME at hand and have fun saving fair maidens and bashing things up.
