New Territories is a experimental journal that follows artist Charles Munka as he wanders through Japan, after spending ten years in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

In December 2017, Charles Munka left his Tokyo studio to embark on a series of artistic residencies on six islands across Japan where he seeks to discover and express the identity of these locations.
A work is created on each island inspired by its materials, places and faces.

2017年12月、東京と拠点としていたシャルル・ムンカは、アーティスト・イン・レジデンスの取り組みをはじめ、日本の島々を巡り、計6島の独特なアイデンティティを追求することを志す。
