We explain about each and every skill that can be unlocked in the game.
To use a skill you will need to use flow.
In this video we will cover all unlockable skills and will also discuss which are our favorites and which are absolute junk.
Most but one of these skills will unlock by just reaching the next character level, obtaining all of them will take you around 12 to 15 hours.
Using these skills costs flow, through leveling up you can get up to 5 flow bars which can be constantly refilled by damaging enemies. Each skill costs between one and three flow bars.
Besides upgrading your flow bars you will also obtain more health bars through the skill tree by reaching higher levels.
Pijnapple express is one of the skills you will have at the start of the game.
It’s one of the more usefull ones where you attach a grenade to an enemy and them throw him a short distance after which he will explode doing him and the enemies around him some damage.
Smokescreen throws a smokescreen at your feet to distract your enemies, which is somewhat usefull in the start of the game but not that much once you are a few hours in
Proximity mine is a sticky mine that can be attached to surfaces or enemies which will explode a short while after. A bit usefull till you reach about character level 10.
Tough mother give you some extra health or a shield if you will which can be usefull throughout most of the game
Frag out gives you a grenade to throw at enemies, does a small amount of damage but you can throw up to 5 quite quickly once you have 5 flow bars
Flaming punch is a skill where you need to get up close and personal with your enemies to give them a high damage flame punch
Transfusion gives you health when you damage enemies which I personally find to be totally worthless, you get very low amount of health with this skill and I prefer to just wait a bit so my healthbar can refill automatically
Overscope is a sniper rifle skill that can also make enemies explode if you headshot them. It’s quite strong a nice to defeat one or two enemies from a distance. But overall I prefer the upgraded rifle to do damage to my opponents
Impulse trap is a throwable device that will launch your enemies up into the air. I found this skill usefull if there are too many enemies around and I need to have a quick escape.
Beserker gives you a melee damage buff. This skill makes your melee skill much stronger but once again I never use it since your ranged weapons are much stronger and I rarely run out of bullets to need this skill
Intercession skill calls up some of your saint gang buddies to give you some help. This can be very usefull especially If there are many enemies around you. They will let enemies target them so you can more easily defeat them
Quick draw I am thinking is bugged in my game since I need to buy ammo in the store every time I’ve used this skill which directly makes it useless. The skill is reasonably strong to target multiple enemies so if this should be fixed it would be a nice skill
Dorth blossom is a graphically pleasing and usefull as well. It does a lot of damage to the enemies near you by jumping and shooting everywhere around you so I can recommend taking it with you at all times.
Quantum aperture is the only skill that cannot be obtained by increasing your level. This skill can only be unlocked by finishing the eurekabator venture. Besides obtaining a trophy by using this skill I found it rather useless, you can shoot through any object by using this skill.
So yes those are all the skills and I guess I found most of them nice to have but not nice to use. If you want my advice just use these 4 skills. The intercession skill to get backup from the saints. Pinnacle express to do damage to enemies and create some distance. Tough mother to get some extra shield and the dorth blossom skill to you can look cool while doing some damage.
The game is also known as Saints Row 5 or Saints Row 2022 which is a reboot of the franchise.
