Samsung has announced the global launch of its Smart Monitor range for 2023. The company is launching nine new screens with the new M8, M7 and M5 Smart Monitors (model names: M80C, M70C, M50C). Samsung has launched its 2023 Smart Monitor series, introducing the M8, M7, and M5 models (M80C, M70C, M50C) in varying colors and sizes. The M5 model comes with a 27-inch display, whereas the M7 can be procured in both 27-inch and 32-inch variants. The M8 model is presented solely in a 32-inch version. Unique to the M8 and M7 are their slender 11.39mm profiles at the narrowest section, complemented by a tilt stand with height adjustment to provide adjustable viewing perspectives. Additionally, the M8 model incorporates a 90-degree screen rotation feature. The new M8 model delivers multiple advancements and enhancements over its previous iteration. It incorporates 4K resolution, HDR 10+ compatibility, and 400nit brightness for sharp and vivid imagery. Users also have access to the Smart Hub, a tool that facilitates access to prevalent services such as Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube. The M8 and M7 models exhibit a high degree of color fidelity, encompassing up to 99% of the sRGB color spectrum. The M8 model carries a distinct feature, a detachable magnetic camera called the SlimFit camera. With FHD resolution, it facilitates video conferencing and is compatible with applications like Google Meet. Additional features include Auto Framing for meetings and an improved Multi View, enabling full-screen usage of Microsoft 365 and the browser application. Improvements have also been made to the user inerface of the 2023 Smart Monitors. Direct mouse and keyboard integration have been established for apps like SmartThings and Smart Hub, negating the requirement for a remote control. The integrated IoT Hub supports Zigbee and Thread protocols, granting control over IoT devices. The M8 and M7 models integrate voice assistants such as Bixby and Amazon Alexa, and include Far-field voice recognition capabilities via an inbuilt microphone.
