The Samsung 65-inch QN800B is a good quality 8K Neo QLED TV with generally good picture quality for SDR and HDR content, with plenty of useful features and a very good OS and Smart TV system. It sounds decent thanks to OTS+, has a well-designed look and comes with the slim-line One Connect box, which makes it ideal for wall mounting. Whether 8K is a good choice for a TV in today’s market is really only a question you can answer and in our side-by-side testing, we were pushed to see any real difference between 4K and 8K in resolution terms from our normal seating distance. There is also a lack of Dolby Vision support, as there is with all Samsung TVs and it is very expensive at £3,499 at the time of this review in 2022. The QN800B is also up against some serious OLED competition this year, including Samsung’s own S95B QD-OLED and with such a crowded market, it may struggle to find an audience.
