The SamSho that started it all! One of the earliest weapon based fighting game series out there. Unlike most fighting games, Samurai Shodown is not a combo heavy game, and is instead more about landing those powerful strike moves. Once a character's pow gauge is full, their attack power is increased for a short time during the match.
I play through the game as the series mascot, Haohmaru. He is a basic character so a good pick for beginners. Haohmaru is based off the historical swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi.
