Sandy Lyle's insane blank Mizuno 1 iron
23Scottish golf legend Sandy Lyle has just announced his retirement from the Tour, and in homage we decided to reach his incredible 1-iron.
Urban Golf founder James picked up the club a while ago and it sits proudly in his rack.
Lyle was a big hitter and pounded his 1-iron massive distances, especially when fairways were baked and he could get it to run out.
We decided to give some background on the club and give it a whizz to see what we could do with it.
1-irons are infamous for being hard to hit, and this one is even hard for 1 irons! It sure is beautiful though, and feels spectacular when you get one just right.
