It's been 4 years since I started playing SAO Memory Defrag.

There's so many good and bad memories that I got during my journey.
It's amazing to see how the game mechanics changing from era to era.

It's quite sad to see how the community treat this beautiful game into childish speedrun playground where people try to flexing how fast they beat the boss with all their almighty money and P2W power. And whoever can't meet their made-up standards will get flamed or attacked. Tho in the first place nobody ask or force you to speedrun the boss anyways.

Yes, even on non-Ranking event such as FCE or Ultimate Fight Event. People are so obsessed to flexing their best run. Even judging and criticize other player method on beating the boss. Like this game is all nothing except for those who beat the boss the fastest. Ridiculous isn't it?

Thanks to the community, there is no more enjoyable content in this game except flexing and boasting our run over others. Even worst, people now click baiting their videos with excuses of providing F2P strats. Which in reality, nobody can do that run unless they have same new OP units or Lv 100 or R5 weapons setups. A.K.A not enough damage to beat the boss regardless you doing the exact same run.
I mean its not a secret, those unit levels and weapon setup DID very important role to make that run and strat doable. Just because someone is lucky to get those P2W setup from step 1 scouts for free, it doesn't mean anyone can do the same. Because not everyone have same luck. Therefore labeling everything doable as F2P is the biggest click bait and misleading.


By the way, if I allowed to give my opinions, then the best era in this game is the era where people haven't obsessed with the speed run thing. Which was happened in past R4 / early R5 era (I think). Yeah the era where some retired SAO MD creators still upload their videos only for fun. Majority of them have nothing to do with ranking or how fast they beat the boss. Unlike now, just see it by yourself. It's all about how fast you beat the boss, and nothing else.


Anyways, it's been a bless for me to be able to playing this game until this far.
I wish I can see what the next era gonna be, but at this point whichever era it will be.. then it gonna be all about hardcore flexing run again and again. So I'm sorry, I guess my time has come.
