Satisfactory is a first-person, factory building and automation game with a single-player and co-op multiplayer mode, developed by Coffee Stain Studios. This game is most similar to Factorio, but more advanced and in 3D-FirstPerson. Originally developed in Unreal Engine 4, but since patch 8 the game has been ported to Unreal Engine 5.
You play as an employee of FICSIT Inc. and must contribute towards Project Assembly. As a pioneer, you are tasked with exploring the planet for resources in order to construct machines, which will produce several parts. Some parts are critical to 'win' the game. As the game progresses, more complex machines and recipes become available towards this end, which allows the player(s) to create parts, tools, buildings, weapons and vehicles.
The game is initially released in Early Access, at first exclusively on the Epic Games Store on March 19, 2019 at 5pm GMT. Roughly a year later, it also released on Steam on June 8, 2020 at 5pm GMT, with cross-platform multiplayer support.
The official release occurred on September 10, 2024. Version 1.0 introduced tier 9, dimensional storage, expanded blueprints, faster belts and more.
