Octopath Traveler is a fantastic game. I really am looking forward to it. So much so, in fact, that I decided to flat out work around the demo timer. And I found out how.

First, you have to have some way of using homebrew. This can be an SX Pro, SX OS, or any kind of CFW. Once you have that, go to Checkpoint. Back up your demo save.

Open the KSSaveData1 file you got from that backup (It's in the switch/checkpoint directory!) in a hex editor. Look for PlaySecond. Go down about 0x24h offset and you will see two hex values. Change them to 00 00. If you have 3 hours in your save, for example, you will see something like 302a.
