Andy has a sit down chat with Jackson Cooper at Fantastic Fest 2024 to talk all things AGFA - or American Genre Film Archive. Now I know the name kind of does a lot of the heavy lifting, but what is AGFA?

The American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) is the world’s largest archive dedicated to genre movies and filmmakers, and the only known non-profit genre film distributor. Formed in 2009, AGFA is committed to preserving the legacy of genre films through our archival work, sharing these movies through our home video label, and promoting the power of genre through our theatrical distribution arm.

Andy and Jackson talk about the trials and tribulations of film restoration, some famous fans, and the joys of finding that elusive print. This is a forever relevant interview, because whether it be Netflix or Disney, these entertainment titans can just delete a movie from their servers for whatever the reason - be it personal or license lapses - and these movies and tv shows will just cease to exist. Therefore, organisations like AGFA are SUPER important.
