Scalebound's Cancellation is Incredibly Disappointing - Microsoft's Loss of an Upcoming Original IP
24Scalebound was to be released for the Xbox One and Windows platforms in 2017, however after a few rumors of a troubled development path and a possible cancellation it was officially revealed that Scalebound would be shelved. It was in development by Platinum Games and was going to be released by Microsoft Studios as a Microsoft platform exclusive. What a disappointment, not only as another game gets cancelled, but an original IP for the Xbox ecosystem at that. It seemed that Microsoft was looking to diversity the Xbox brand's lineup of games and Scalebound was going to be one of the titles representing that. As of right now I do not have any official word on why it was canned, but if anyone has any official or reliable sources please feel free to share them!
